Canvas Printing from ESJ Designs

Photo canvas prints are printed directly onto 340g artists' canvas and either presented stretched over 18mm deep frames, ready to hang, or supplied rolled for you to frame yourself. Three coats of a Matte Canvas Liquid Coating is applied to each canvas print to give an attractive finish and extra protection. The use of pigment based inks protect your canvas print from fading for up to 200 years. Please click here for canvas printing size dimensions if you wish to produce images at the correct size. You can also email the image without any changes and we will email you a proof back before printing.

 
How to place your order and payment details

You can send your photographs either by posting hard copies or by emailing digital files. Any photographs that are posted will be returned. There are no additional charges for the scanning of images, negatives or slides. Every image is checked prior to payment and advice is given if images are not suitable for canvas printing for any reason. Once the image has been checked you will receive an email outlining payment options.

Payment can be made by either paypal, cheque or bank transfer.

About the Canvas Printing service


ESJ Designs provides a high quality, low cost canvas printing service. Your photographs or pieces of art are transformed into beautiful canvas prints that will instantly brighten a room up. Printing a photo on canvas makes a perfect gift and although the costs from ESJ Designs are low, the finished canvas prints look like they should have cost a lot more.  Cheap canvas prints make what appear to be very expensive gifts.

You can either buy canvas prints as mounted canvases (stretched over a wooded frame) or as rolled canvas prints. There are two sizes of rolled canvas print available, either printed and cut to the exact size or printed and cut oversized for home framing.  The size for oversized canvas printing is outlined in the image size diagrams.


Canvas printing equipment


The equipment and techniques used by ESJ Designs for canvas printing ensures that your images are perfectly reproduced as photos on canvas. 340gsm 100% cotton canvas is used and every print is given three coats of a matte protective varnish. This gives the canvas print extra protection and leaves an attractive satin finish.

HP Z2100 large format printers combined with 8 colour thermal inkjet technolgy and Vivera pigment UV fade resistant inks are used and produce stunning photo canvas reproductions that will resist fading for 200 years.

Canvas printing is done at 2400dpi. This is a lot higher than the standard 1440dpi that most companies print at.

Each canvas print is stretched over 18mm deep frames with the corners trimmed and folded neatly. Canvas prints are all supplied with wire attached, ready to hang.


Image guidelines for canvas printing


Both digital images and hard copy photographs are suitable for canvas printing. Hard copy photographs can be posted and ESJ Designs offer a free scanning service. Photographs will be returned. Digital photographs can be emailed. The simplest method is to email a full size JPEG, straight from the camera and ESJ Designs will size it correctly and email a proof back before proceeding with the canvas print. Other file formats that are acceptable include tiff, .pdf, .psd, .ai, .eps. If images are set to actual size, the resolution needs to be a minimum of 200dpi.

Delivery of canvas photo prints


ESJ Designs offer a free delivery service on all products. A3 and 16” stretched canvas prints are posted first class Royal Mail. A2 and A1 stretched canvas prints are sent by Royal Mail Standard Parcel. This is a 3 – 5 day parcel service. All rolled canvas prints are posted first class Royal Mail. Delivery is normally about 1 week from order. If you need a canvas printing quicker please contact as other delivery options are available at a small cost.
